The 2013 Winter Meetings amongst the MLB’s general managers begin Monday and last until Thursday December 6th.
Toronto Blue Jays manager Alex Anthopoulos has already made some big moves, all eyes are on him this week to see if he will be working out any other key moves for the Jays.
Without a hockey season for Toronto sports fans to be distracted by and thus-far lackluster results from the Toronto Raptors. Aside from the Toronto Argonauts bringing home the Grey Cup, Toronto sports fans have been given some much needed hope and optimism from the moves the Toronto Blue Jays have made recently.
The Blue Jays are said to be wanting another pitcher. We will see if Anthopoulos is able to make any progress this week throughout the meetings. He’s gone this far with the team, mind as well keep it up if he can and try to make some more magic happen for Toronto.

Another player that will be talked about this week will be this year’s CY Young Award winner, R.A. Dickey.
Dickey actually stopped in on the meetings on Monday for a quick visit with a Mets trainer for a routine checkup following the abdominal surgery he had in October. He winded up seeing Mets GM Sandy Alderson who said the following regarding Dickey’s situation: “R.A.’s situation needs to be resolved, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be resolved here in Nashville before Thursday.”
