BASEBALL — 09 October 2012

Everyone’s favourite baseball player Alex Rodriguez continued to set records in the MLB. Monday Night Alex Rodriguez was given the opportunity to make a difference in game two, only to come up short as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the New York Yankees 3 – 2 to even the American League Divisional Series at 1 – 1. Alex Rodriguez set the record with 4 strikeouts in his career to end a playoff game.

The Yankees and Orioles have split 10 games a piece this season and the trend continues. I expect this series to go the distance and having fans on the edge of their seat. Prior to Alex Rodriguez record setting strikeout, only six other players have struck out to end a playoff game three times. (Matt Holliday, Jorge Posada, Scott Rolen, Alfonso Soriano, Jim Thome and Omar Vizquel).

Here’s two of the highlights from the past two seasons with Alex Rodriguez making the opposing teams fan happy!
