Even though the No. 2 overall pick of the 2012 NFL draft, Robert Griffin III, remains the odds-on favourite to win the offensive rookie of the year award, the No. 1 pick Andrew Luck is certainly going to make him earn it!
Andrew Luck‘s performance on Sunday, along with a steady showing throughout the season, has started to make the topic of rookie of the year far more interesting.
Sunday’s victory over the Miami Dolphins improved the Indianapolis Colts record to 5-3 and Luck accomplished a rookie record 433 yards passing.
In his rookie season so far Luck has completed 190 of 336 passes (56.5%) for a total of 2,44 yards, 10 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. He has run for 3 touchdowns and 148 yards. Robert Griffin III has completed 172 of 262 passes (65.6%) with a total of 1,993 yards, 8 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Griffin has run for 148 yards and 3 touchdowns. His team however, is not in a great position within the top-heavy NFC to be thinking about a playoff spot.
