BASKETBALL — 18 May 2012

For those of you who haven’t been following the series are missing a great one. Round two of the NBA playoffs couldn’t have a better Cinderella story then the Indianapolis Pacers. On a night that saw Roy Hibbert put up 19 points, 18 rebounds and 5 block shots it was clear to see that the Miami Heat were on the brink of an epic meltdown. Losing to the Pacers 94 to 75 in an absolute blowout of a fourth quarter which saw Lebron James and Dwayne Wade leave the game with about 2 1/2 minutes left in the game.

Chris Bosh was sidelined with an abdominal strain that will likely keep him out for the remainder of the series, if not longer. Dwayne  Wade had one of his worst performances in recent memory which kept him from scoring a single point in the first half, a far from stellar stat line to say the least.  2/13 FG 0-2 from the 3-pt line, 5 turnovers and 1 assist. The 6 rebounds were the only good thing that came from Wade who decided to blow up on his coach Erik Spoelstra which has now resulted in the Miami Heat canceling practice today and their media appearance without any reason.

Here’s the video of Dwayne Wade showing Erik Spoelstra who’s boss:

What do you think of Dwayne Wade yelling at his coach? You can’t really tell what he was saying to Erik Spoelstra but I’m sure he wasn’t gloating about his performance. Wade might have been frustrated and maybe Coach Spoelstra expected more from his star player. Have the Miami Heat run into the team that will cause an epic collapse in South Beach that will result in one of the ‘big 3’ being traded or will we simply see Erik Spoelstra be fired in the off season?
