A lot of speculation has swirled around the rumour mill about Toronto Blue Jays manager John Ferrell lately. With talks of many Boston Red Sox Players unhappy with current coach Bobby Valentine, should the position come available Blue Jays Ferrell made it clear he is the manager of Toronto. The Toronto Blue Jays have Ferrell under contract for next season but the management will need to decide what they are doing with the manager position sooner rather than later.

The Blue Jays have faced a difficult year loosing everybody you could imagine to injuries at some point this season including their super star Jose Bautista and the often injured Brett Lawrie (Brett Lawrie Throws Helmet at Umpire and Gets Thrown Out of the Game). Toronto has never really been able to get “hot” this season and a string of injuries to the pitching staff and what many would call a disappointing season from the supposed ‘Ace’ in Ricky Romero have left the Blue Jays and their fans questioning the hopes of playoffs this year or next.

The bigger fear would be that if the Toronto Blue Jays couldn’t take a step forward in the next two seasons their biggest name could decide he wants to join a contender and leave for a bigger market… Maybe even the rival New York Yankees. The pressure is on Alex Anthopoulos next season and the expectations from fans are high.
