FOOTBALL — 08 October 2012

The Buffalo Bills have played some really terrible football since the start of the third quarter vs the New England Patriots. After being up 21 – 7 on the New England Patriots the Buffalo Bills appear to have forgotten how to play defense, giving up an amazing 6 touch down passes in the second half. This isn’t college football we are talking about, this is the NFL. In a game you figured the Buffalo Bills would put behind them, expecting a better performance vs the San Francisco 49ers, Bills fans were fooled. The Buffalo Bills gave up over 500 yards of offense in two consecutive games, the FIRST team since 1950 to do so.

The San Francisco 49ers DOMINATED the Buffalo Bills for 4 quarters. Alex Smith accomplished something both Joe Montana and Steve Young never did. Alex Smith threw a season-high 303 yards and scored 3 touchdowns. Frank Gore ran for 106 yards with a TD. Throw in Michael Crabtree with 6 catches for 113 yards and Tight End Vernon Davis had 7 catches for 106 yards.

The only person to score for the Buffalo Bills…. Ryan Lindell (their kicker). He scored the only points of the game for Buffalo (a 3 pt field goal). Pretty sad when the Buffalo Bills spent all that money on defense in the off-season, along with drafting on the defensive side of things. Next week doesn’t get any easier for the Bills either.

Here’s a recap of the game:
