Businesses in London are desperate to find ways to prevent the traffic in London from interfering with their day-to-day operations. Some are going to extreme measures in order to prevent the traffic from causing an issue. Many companies will be allowing their employees to work from home, thus avoiding the chaos altogether. Some companies, however; will be going to the extreme to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Staff at one data center, run by Interxion, will dodge the commute completely and sleep at the office in a set of space-age pods. The London based pod purveyor Podtime has been specifically marketing the pods to businesses concerned that Olympic traffic will negatively impact productivity. While asking your staff to literally live in the office may be a little distasteful, the pods pose an interesting solution to this short-term problem.
