Canadian divers Meghan Benfeito of Montreal and Rosline Filion of Laval, QC have won a Bronze medal in the women’s 10-metre synchronized diving event! This is now the second medal for Canada at the 2012 Olympic Games, the first of which was also Bronze.
When Filion and Benfeito got to London last week, the former said “we’re really due for a strong performance. We’re at a point now where we know each other so well, we’ve been on the road together for more than four years, we can feel each other in the air. This is it.”
Benfeito said she was focused less on the podium and more on the details of their performance.
“We just want to dive to the level that we know we can,” she said.
They have made Canada very proud, and we’re hoping to see many more medals where those came from!
