Every now and then you get to read about some good happening in this world. The media tends to focus on the negative stories; or those that are the ‘juiciest’ to their audience so when you get to read about someone doing some good for a change, it kind of makes you want to jump in and do the same!

Nuhazet is 9-year-old boy from Las Palmas, Spain, who has been battling cancer since before he turned two. In March, an MRI revealed that his cancer had spread to three different parts of his spine. Doctors told his parents that there was nothing more that could be done for him, and recommended they stop treatment in order to reduce his suffering.

Nuhazet‘s parents asked his doctors if there were any treatment options available anywhere else in the world that they could try, but they were told the only options left were experimental.

Nuhazet‘s cousin managed to get the attention of Cristiano Ronaldo‘s agent Jorge Mendes, one of the most powerful agents in football. His cousin managed to arrange a trip from their home in the Canary Islands to Madrid for the Real Madrid‘s final match of the season against Mallorca.

When the day of the game came around, Mendes surprised Nuhazet by introducing him to Cristiano Ronaldo! They took pictures and joked around for a little while and Ronaldo promised Nuhazet that if he scored a goal that day, he would dedicate it to him. Nuhazet then watched the game from Ronaldo’s private box along with his family and Cristiano’s model girlfriend, Irina Shayk.

The Real Madrid ended-up beating Mallorca 4-1 and won the Liga trophy for the first time in four years. The first goal of the game was scored by Cristiano Ronaldo and dedicated to Nuhazet.

The next day, Jorge Mendes had the president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, personally contact the doctors at Sanchinarro Hospital who quickly say Nuhazet and started him on a new course of treatment which included a personalized drug from the US. The best part; Ronaldo and Mendes are paying for everything!

Whether the offer is genuine or an effort to boast his likability, the important thing here is that Nuhazet now has hope, and that hope is thanks to Ronaldo and Mendes.
