MISC MMA — 17 October 2012

We all are plenty aware that the only guy in line who has the resume and skill to be worthy of a shot against Jon Jones. That man, is none other then Dan Henderson. After suffering a injury prior to his scheduled fight vs Jon Jones at UFC 151 which required him to drop out of the fight. Since then UFC 151 was canceled and Jon Jones  fought Lyoto Machida Vitor Belfort in Toronto at UFC 152.

During the whole “Lyoto Machida” debacle that ended in Machida not wanting the fight on short notice, Chael Sonnen went on twitter to campaign for a fight against the champ. Always finding a way to be in the spotlight it appears by just “Trash Talking” and trying to stay relevant in the media, Chael Sonnen managed to earn himself a title shot and more importantly for Chael… More TV time. Yesterday it was announced that Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen will coach against each other in what appears to be a desperation move to save the stale show.

UFC 154 Montreal: GSP VS CONDIT TICKETS

Chael Sonnen who doesn’t fight at 205 lbs has managed to catapult himself into a title shot by talking “trash”. Since booking the Ultimate Fighter gig the fight vs Forrest Griffin at 205 lbs has been scrapped from the December card. Sonnen is coming off a loss to the Middleweight Champ Anderson Silva in a rematch that seemed one sided. Rather then accept a fight vs #1 threat Dan Henderson, Jon Jones accepts one after his fans campaigned on twitter for him to fight Chael Sonnen.

Here’s what Dan Henderson had to say via Twitter to UFC President @DanaWhite

What do you think of the decision to put Jon Jones vs Chael Sonnen instead of Dan Henderson?
