Wayne Gretzky attended a game at Safeco Field to watch the Mariners-Yankees game on Wednesday afternoon. We later learned that he may have been in Seattle for more than just a baseball game.

According to a Seattle sports radio satation, Wayne Gretzky was going to be meeting with Bellevue, Washington officials to discuss the possibility of an NHL team coming to the Evergreen state.

Seattle is also on the map for an NBA team. Chris Hanson is the leader of a group of investors looking to build a new NBA arena in Seattle. He’s currently awaiting the County Council to vote on his $490 million proposal.

Seattle city and Kings County council are reviewing Hansen’s proposal and a vote is expected on Monday.
