The argument has been heating up as of late regarding ‘TRT‘ (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) in MMA. It’s being called ‘legal cheating’ by some fighters who think it’s ridiculous that it’s even legal for fighters to be able to utilize TRT in a sport where steroids and performance enhancing drugs are prohibited. Individuals like BJ Penn and Roy Nelson have come out and volunteered to take and pay for the test required to prove both their opponents and themselves show up clean.

It’s a controversy that will likely remain in the sport for some time and it appears that several fighters in MMA are taking advantage of the use of ‘TRT’. This week Jon Jones chriped the fact that his opponent on September 1st Dan Henderson is one of the fighters who is legally allowed to use Testosterone Replacement Therapy. Dan Henderson is looking to add a UFC Championship to his list of accomplishments in the sport of MMA by defeating current champ Jon Jones.
