Last night Light Heavyweight Champion Jonny ‘Bones’ Jones took to twitter to ask fans who they want him to fight next. Jon Jones has defeated Shogun Rua, Lyoto Machida, Rampage Jackson, Rashad Evans and most recently Vitor Belfort in Toronto last month.
The only other fight currently in his weight class would be Dan Henderson who was his original opponent at UFC 151 (Related: UFC Cancels First Event In History). Fans took to twitter to respond with opponents in every weight class, from Junior Dos Santos to Kimbo Slice. Besides Dan Henderson, Glover Teixeira and Alexander Gustafsson might be the only other fighters who are on a path to one day fight Jon Jones for the title… Maybe.
Now with that being said Glover Teixeira will fight his second UFC match tomorrow at UFC 153 in Brazil and Gustafsson is still a few fights away for being prepared to step into the Octagon with the champ. The problem is that every day Jon Jones is getting better and better. Gaining more experience and learning new things while we wait for these fighters to get to his level.
Now when Dan Henderson got injured Chael Sonnen started preping and called out Jon Jones. Jones refused to engage in a battle with a fighter he felt wasn’t worthy of a fight against the champ in a division he doesn’t fight in. Chael Sonnen is a big time pay per view draw and Jon Jones has said he didn’t want to fight Lyoto Machida in Toronto for a second time because he is one of his ‘lower’ pay per view draws.
It seems like after last night Jon Jones may just give the fans what they are looking for, a fight with the worlds most interesting man… Chael Sonnen.
Here are the tweets from Jonny Bones Jones on twitter last night:

It appears fans weren’t satisfied with Anderson Silva’s win against Sonnen, so they are campaigning on Twitter for Jones to finish the job.
