Kentucky coach John Calipari has some serious recruiting ammunition following back-to-back Final Four appearances and winning the national title this spring.
The Kentucky Wildcats became the first program to ever produce the number 1 & 2 picks in the same draft year. Previously, the closest any other program has come to this feat was UCLA’s 1696 national title winning team. They produced Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at No. 1 and Lucius Allen at No. 2.
Another successful draft year for Kentucky and coach John Calipari after having John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins both be drafted in the top 5 in 2010.
Absolutely nobody was shocked to see the New Orleans Hornets utilize their number one selection on Anthony Davis. There was no point in hiding their selection choice, they did not even have Davis work out when he visited recently. The Charlotte Bobcats snatched up Michael Kidd-Gilchrist at No. 2.
