HOCKEY — 26 October 2012
It was looking like the Kontintenal Hockey League was going to be the first to play professional hockey in the brand new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Friday they announced that they would be cancelling their North American showcase games scheduled for January 19th & 20th.

The KHL says the decision came as a result wanting to please “the wishes of many thousands of Russian hockey fans.”
The games between the elite SKA st. Petersburg and Dynamo Moscow will instead be playing a home-and-home in Russia.
Hockey fans in New York will have to wait like the rest of us before they get to watch live professional hockey.
