The Boston Celtics have received an inquiry regarding the availability of forward Kevin Garnett.
The Los Angeles Clippers have reportedly contacted the Celtics to see if he might be available. The Celtics need to make a decision and get some direction back following the ACL injury to star point guard Rajon Rondo. The Boston Celtics will need to do something to address their line-up.
Garnett would have to waive his no-trade clause in order to get anything accomplished. The deal would most likely be built around point guard Eric Bledsoe and swingman Caron Butler.
Regardless of whether or not these two teams work out any sort of a deal, both teams are clearly gearing-up to make some changes. The Clippers have lost six of their past eight games.
With Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, the Clippers need to add another strong player to make their line-up all the more intimidating and at the level it needs to reach in order to be a solid competitor.
Speculation has it that the Celtics may make an offer for Clippers point guard in order to fill the hole that has been dug from Rondo’s knee injury.
