HOCKEY — 08 February 2013

This has to be one of the most ridiculous stats in all of professional sports. I remember being a kid and watching Martin Brodeur and how awesome of a goaltender he was and still is. I even remember the Olympics, well all of them… Broduer has been selected more then any other Canadian goaltender (1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014?). It would be interesting to see if Brodeur will be selected to the 2014 Olympics. (Related: Sexy Athletes to Watch for at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi) At the tender age of 40, Brodeur just took the New Jersey Devils to the Stanley Cup Finals and is proving age is just a number.

Is Martin Brodeur one of the greatest players and goaltenders to ever play the game? Here is a list of his NHL Career Records:

That is one heck of a resume and a lot of the accomplishments will likely never be broken. Looking at one of the more interesting things is Martin Brodeur has more career wins then Anaheim (645), Tampa Bay (594), Florida (576), Nashville (507), Minnesota (409), Winnipeg/Atlanta (383), and Columbus (345). I am pretty sure it’s safe say Martin Brodeur is the Grandfather of the National Hockey League.
