In last night’s 5 – 2 victory against Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins, Nazem Kadri registered an assist resulting in the Leafs first goal of the game. Nazem Kadri has registered at least 1 point in each game he has played so far with the Maple Leafs in this shortened season. Kadri is tied for the team lead in points. Perhaps what is the most evident about Nazem Kadri at this point, is that not only is he adjusting well with the Toronto Maple Leafs, he might be their most valuable player. In each game he has played, Kadri’s skill, speed, and determination has been on full display. A few months ago, Toronto Marlies coach Dallas Eakins scrutinized Kadri’s body fat and skating ability noting his tests were “average”. Now Kadri is riding a wave of success that could make him the missing piece in Toronto’s quest to make the playoffs for the first time since 2004.

From London Knight to plays of the night, Nazem Kadri is playing like a $3 million dollar player, that’s $2.2 million in savings #TMLtalk
