Yesterday we looked at What Billions of Dollars Can Buy: Inside the Brooklyn Nets’ Barclays Center.

Today, we hear the New York Islanders will also call the Barclays Center home as of 2015 according to SportsBusiness Journal and Daily.

There is a press release scheduled for today at which the Islanders and Barclays Center are scheduled to make a “major announcement”.

No wonder the NHL declined to meet with the NHLPA, they’re headed over to Brooklyn to be present for the announcement.

The New York Islanders currently call the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondal, N.Y. their home, that lease is set to expire in 2015.
