The NHL and NHLPA have resumed their talks to come to an agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement.

They have scheduled three days of meetings at the NHLPA’s downtown Toronto office, which began Tuesday morning.

Negotiations commenced at the end of June, this will be their fifth straight week they’ve sat down together.

This week, the agenda will be focusing on “non-core economic issues” which include player safety, discipline and realignment.

The current CBA expires September 15, 2012.
