HOCKEY — 19 February 2013

Nothing like some good old fisticuffs. Here are the best fights from around the NHL this week.

NHL Fights of the week

Jarome Iginla vs Antoine Rousell

Jarome Iginla is one of the premiere slimmed down power forwards of the game. He is an elite NHL player and even at age 35 shows he can still throw them. Antoine Rousell may not be a household name but the 21 year old from France is making a name for himself in Dallas

Eric Boulton vs Arron Asham

The battle of New York never disappoints and Boulton was brought in to the Islanders for this exact reason. Asham, the former Islander is not one to back down from a fight as these two enforcers go at it.

Adam Burish vs Derek Dorsett

It appears that former Blackhawk Burish bit off a little more than he could chew as he takes on seasoned enforcer Dorsett. Burish puts in a good effort but the W goes to Dorsett on this one.

Colton Orr vs Kevin Westgarth

Orr looked finished last year following a concussion and what seemed like a permanent demotion to the AHL. These two heavyweights know exactly what to do when out against each other and don’t disappoint.

Tye McGinn vs Mark Stuart

McGinn is making the most out of his first NHL season with the Flyers and in addition to his 5 points in 11 games he shows he can throw down too. Mark Stuart is not an enforcer but he plays  hard game and is not afraid to stand up for himself or teammates.
