Robert Griffin III is $10,000 poorer following a decision to sport an Adidas T-shirt and jacket during a post-game news conference.

The NFL has an agreement with Nike, so naturally one of their biggest competitors on a players clothing is of concern to them. The NFL confirmed that they fined him for “unauthorized apparel.”

This is Griffin’s second apparel related offense, which is likely the reason for the fine. Earlier this season, Griffin got in some trouble after altering his Nike warmup jersey by scrawling an ‘H’ over the swoosh and writing “HEART”.

Not sure if he was insinuating that his heart lies with Adidas, he never commented on the decision but we do know that at that time he had a deal in place with Adidas.
