Just two weeks following another injury scare, Tiger Woods dominated the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, winning the tournament by 5 strokes. Woods’ achilles tendon began acted up while he was playing in the Cadillac Championship in Doral and forced him to withdraw from the tournament. He returned just eight days following this flare up to play in the Tavistock Cup in which he placed fourth.
This was Tiger‘s first PGA victory since his infamous sex scandal of 2009. Since which, Woods has struggled with poor performances, injury and dealing with the media. With the 2012 Masters only two weeks away, Woods could be capable of resuming his pursuit of Jack Nichlaus in the majors.
Woods is not hiding his excitement and it was shining through based on the huge smile on Wood’s face here:
“I’m excited, no doubt… I’m looking forward to the momentum I’ve built here.”
Following a strong showing at several of his last tournaments, Woods has quickly become a favorite to do well and/or win at this year’s Masters which begins on April 5th. Bookies everywhere are loving the ‘hype’ that now surrounds Tiger Woods‘ Masters performance. Wood’s himself would likely suggest you place your bets on him.
With Tiger’s win-less drought finally satisfied, expect him to come in hungry for more!
