BASKETBALL — 31 January 2014

Drake will be proud to know that the Toronto Raptors will be well represented at the 2014 NBA All Star Game in New Orleans. With DeMar DeRozan being selected to his first  All Star game as an Eastern Conference Reserve (Voted by the Coaches). Despite his solid play and leading his team to the top of the Atlantic Division, Kyle Lowry was left off the All Star roster with many fans on twitter disagreeing!

Here’s a video highlighting why DeMar DeRozan was selected as an NBA All Star… I think this sums it up pretty nicely.

Jonas Valanciunas will participate in the Rising Stars Challenge at NBA All-Star Weekend, while Terrence Ross who recently went off for a career high 51 points tying the franchise record with Vince Carter, will be defending his Slam Dunk Title as he fly’s above the rim.

The Talent in Toronto will be on full display in New Orleans as the Toronto Raptors look to build an All Star Calibre team for 2016 when the NBA All Star game will be in the 416 for the whole world to see. The Air Canada Centre will be full of stars and Toronto’s very own, Drake will be performing and involved in a big way as the Toronto Raptors ambassador.

The city of Toronto is getting behind this team that has emerged as one of the top teams in the NBA since trading Rudy Gay to the Sacramento Kings. Let’s get excited for the NBA All Star Game in New Orleans by reliving the performance by Terrence Ross as he won the Slam Dunk Contest!
